I'm a day dreamer, during my moments of disconnection from the world, I have rants in my head, or out loud, depending on the company.

Appreciate & Acknowledge Your Consciousness

I understand that everyone has their problems, some small, some life changing ... BUT, have you ever stopped to think that the fact that you are able to experience drama, loss, heartbreak etc, is a blessing in its own right?

We are lucky to be alive and lucky to have been born into this world of luxuries, families, friends and most of all, LIFE!

We've all been through a lot and there is inevitably a lot more for us to experience - good & bad.

I was advised by a dear friend the other afternoon to live in the now and not to worry - this was lovely, and makes sense.
You know, like the buddhist philosophy: don't waste time crying/stressing about things that can't be changed, live for today ... And so on.

Now, I agree with my friend, and generally I like to remind myself that there is no use being upset over situations that can't be changed - after the crying, the problem is still there - better off smiling :)

Then again, is that a good thing? Surely acknowledging certain negative situations that may arise isn't necessarily a bad thing?
Aren't the problems we experience the very foundations that make us who we are and mould us into stronger individuals?
Maybe letting ourselves be upset from time to time isn't always a bad thing? Surely it helps?
You know, letting it out, being in touch with true and honest emotions?
No-one wants to cry, or be stressed, or be angry, it's an automated response sometimes.

See, I don't cry very often and avoid stress, but, I am only human, if it needs to happen, I'm going to let it - doesn't mean I'm weak or unappreciative of life, just means I'm alive!

... Just a thought ...
